USDA, Rural Development is an agency of the U. S. Department of Agriculture. USDA, Rural Development is committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in all of Rural America. Through this agency, a broad range of programs are available including rental assistance to residents of multi-family housing complexes are available.
U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
HUD provides special services in the areas of rental assistance to tenants of multi-family housing programs. HUD awards grants to organizations and groups for a variety of purposes. Most recently grants have been awarded for the development of Project 202 and 811 properties.
North Carolina Housing Finance Agency
The North Carolina Housing Finance Agency provides rental development programs including tax credits, tax exempt bond allocations, agency loans and monitoring activities. Its mission is to lead in creating affordable housing opportunities through the effective investment of public and private capital, professionalism, and responsiveness to the needs of its partners and the people it serves.
Kentucky Housing Corporation
The Kentucky Housing Corporation is a self-supporting, public corporation of the Commonwealth of Kentucky administratively attached to the Finance and Administration Cabinet. The Kentucky Housing Corporation funds are derived from the interest earned through the sale of tax-exempt mortgage revenue bonds. Through these funds, homeownership is made possible to low- and moderate-income Kentucky families.
Tennessee Housing Development Agency
THDA's goal is to provide housing assistance to those in need, and to do so by offering a variety of programs to serve various types of need. THDA administers the federal Section 8 rental assistance including both tenant - and project-based. They also administer the federal Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program.
Virginia Housing Development Authority
The Virginia Housing Development Authority oversees the Low Income Housing Tax Credit program in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Their mission is to help fellow Virginians obtain safe, sound and decent housing otherwise unaffordable to them.
